Got this cover for my Kindle DX. I already own an Edge cover for my Kindle 1 so I am accustomed to the first class quality and craftsmanship. This cover is highly attractive (portfolio style) and the mocha brown is masculine yet easily can be carried by the ladies as well. It is a similar style of the Amazon Kindle DX cover with similar dimensions and weight. However, the Amazon Kindle DX cover has had its issues with the binder attachment cracking some Kindle cases. This was a primary factor in making my choice for the M-Edge GO
This is a minimalist cover for the DX which is not bulky and is fairly light. It does not add too much in terms of weight and size to the DX so the unit can still be read one-handed with this cover. In fact, in some respects, it is almost easier to hold onto the Kindle with the Edge cover.
The unit easily folds back on itself so you can still read with it in the folded style and not increase the footprint.
If there is some drawback to this cover it would be in the protection area. The cover does not have any mechanism by which it will stay closed on its own, Other Edge covers have the leather closure which keeps the cover closed when engaged; the GO has no such closure apparatus… the Amazon Kindle cover has a magnetic attraction to keep the cover closed. However, the four cornered clasps work well and hold the DX firmly in place. I guess if you really wanted to ensure closure on this cover while traveling, you could use a large rubber band when the unit is stowed. Also, I don’t feel any cover will protect the unit from a high impact fall so the moral is do all possible not to drop your Kindle no matter what cover it is in.
I highly recommend this cover if you want a low profile and great looking case for your Kindle… whatever model you own.

This is the best no-nonsense kindle dx cover out there. You can tell it’s made of genuine leather and has a high quality finish on the stitches and everything (no defects whatsoever). The suede interior has a really nice touch to it, and this adds to the reading experience, as this is the part you touch when the cover is flipped over. The kindle stays firmly attached to this cover (it wouldn’t drop out if you shook it), but at the same time can be easily removed if you wanted to. I prefer this type of attachment to the one of the amazon cover (using the slots on the kindle), as I heard people cracking their device by not carefully opening their cover.
So why use this cover instead of the m-edge bigger brother M-Edge Executive Leather Kindle DX Jacket (Fits 9.7″ Display, Latest Generation Kindle DX), Smooth Mocha Brown with strap and extra storage space? First, it’s $15 cheaper. Second, it’s 3.2 ounces lighter. Third, I read in other reviews that the strap gets in the way after flipping it. If you really wanted, you could use a rubber band (or even glue a thin magnet at the lower right corner) for this cover, but in my experience the cover doesn’t fall open easily on transport. Fourth, the extra storage space of the bigger m-edge cover is mainly meant to store the m-edge led light, which is built crappy and gives insufficient light for the bigger DX screen, so you don’t want that one anyway (or so I read).
Main lesson here: buy this cover and you won’t regret it (and no, I don’t have m-edge shares).

I read a TON of the reviews prior to making this purchase. I was concerned about a cover that MIGHT cause damage to my Kindles’ case, so I avoided them altogether. That narrowed my choices down to the nylon/vinyl types, and the leather covers.
Next I looked at fit/finish/holding power as well as ease of removal/installation. This ended up pushing me to my final choice — the M-Edge Go!
It is everything the others said it was and more — Quality, quality and quality! It fits great, is a snap to install & remove, and makes holding the Kindle while reading more secure. I purchased the “high tech” snaky stand, but I find that I end up holding or leaning the Kindle in it’s leather case more than using the stand.
I would HEARTILY recommend this product to others — YES, it’s leather, so you have to use common sense (YES, I understand Common Sense isn’t all that common) when you lay the case down or place objects on top of it. I do lay mine down on various surfaces, but check to see if there is any liquid or oily substance where I plan on laying it down FIRST, and AVOID placing any objects on top of it for fear of possibly damaging my Kindle. The case has so far stayed clean, unblemished, and the suade inner lining is staying clean as well. It behoves you to keep the inner suade clean as that is what protects the Kindle screen. Avoid finger printing your screen — and be careful what you use to clean/wipe the screen off with as it MAY transfer to the suade lining if you’re not careful. All in all, one of the best purchases I have ever made on Amazon (after my Kindle DX that is… )
